The Policy Transparency System is a system that discloses the process and responsible officials of major policies and projects to the public, and is operated to enhance transparency and accountability in policy decision-making.
During this meeting, projects closely related to citizens' daily lives across various municipal affairs were selected, including: the Regional Smart City Development Project; the second remodeling project for the Cactus Botanical Garden; the Goyang City Bus Route System Reorganization Research Service; and the partial amendment of the ordinance supporting interest on rental deposit loans for households with newborns in Goyang City.
The selected projects, including their background, overview, responsible departments, and officials, will be released on the city's official website, allowing anyone to access the information.
A city official stated, "We will continue to systematically operate the Policy Transparency System to transparently disclose the decision-making and implementation processes of major policies to the public and realize trustworthy administration."
Meanwhile, Goyang City regularly holds the Policy Transparency Deliberation Committee each year to select projects for disclosure, and to expand citizen participation in the selection process, the city operates a separate proposal channel through its official website on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
