for Yangju 1-dong Multipurpose Government Complex Construction
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province has secured a special grant of 1.1 billion KRW from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the construction of the Yangju 1-dong Multipurpose Government Complex, which is being promoted in the area of the Yangju Station Area Development Project.
This special grant is an additional amount following the 800 million KRW secured in December 2024, bringing the total special grant allocated for the construction of the Yangju 1-dong Multipurpose Government Complex to 1.9 billion KRW. The special grant is financial support provided for local pending projects, such as the establishment of public facilities in local areas.
The city plans to utilize the secured special grant to complete the Yangju 1-dong Multipurpose Government Complex project in February next year.
The Yangju 1-dong Multipurpose Government Complex will have a total project cost of 29.6 billion KRW, a total floor area of 6,946 square meters, and will consist of one basement floor and four above-ground floors. The facility will house an administrative welfare center, a residents' self-governing center, a community culture center, a senior citizens' college, and an integrated care center, among other functions.
An official from Yangju City stated, "This multipurpose government complex is expected to serve as a space for administrative work and to provide convenience for residents."
