Gangwon Cultural Foundation (CEO Shin Hyunsang) held the 2025 Regular Board of Directors Meeting on the 17th in the foundation's conference room to review this year's operational achievements and discuss agenda items such as the 2026 business plan and amendments to internal regulations for revising employment rules.

At this regular board meeting, a total of 13 agenda items were reviewed and approved, including the third supplementary budget bill for 2025, the 2026 business plan and budget for revenues and expenditures, as well as amendments to the articles of incorporation and internal regulations.


In particular, the board engaged in in-depth discussions on the 2026 business plan, which aims to foster a sustainable environment for artistic creation as the province's leading cultural and arts institution, strengthen cultural capabilities, expand residents' cultural rights, promote balanced regional cultural development, vitalize Gangwon's signature cultural and arts content, enhance global competitiveness, and realize ESG management through communication and innovation with local residents.


The foundation's 2026 budget for revenues and expenditures was reviewed and approved at 32,858,590,000 won, an increase of 1,651,690,000 won compared to the original 2025 budget of 31,206,900,000 won. The budget includes 183,760,000 won for supporting artists' creative activities, 50,000,000 won for arts education projects, 50,580,000 won for artists' welfare support projects, and an expansion of the integrated culture voucher project to 1,197,440,000 won.


Additionally, the board reviewed and approved amendments to related internal regulations, such as the personnel management and service regulations, in preparation for a comprehensive revision of employment rules to prevent future labor-management conflicts. The board also discussed measures for the stable management of the foundation's development fund.
