Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) held the "2025 1st Party-Government Council Meeting" on the 15th in the situation room on the 3rd floor of City Hall to share major city administration projects with the Guri City Party Members Council of the People Power Party and to secure external funding, such as special adjustment grants.

Approximately 40 people attended the council meeting, including Mayor Baek Kyunghyun, key senior officials of the city, Na Taekeun, Chair of the Guri City Party Members Council of the People Power Party, Lee Eunju, member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, Kim Yonghyun, Kim Hanseul, and Lee Kyunghee, members of the Guri City Council, as well as executive members of the Party Council. They engaged in in-depth discussions on comprehensive cooperation measures for advancing major city administration projects and securing external funding.


During the meeting, reports and consultations were held on a total of 15 items, including key projects for the development of Guri City and applications for Gyeonggi-do special adjustment grants.


In particular, the city shared projects that require the party's cooperation for smooth implementation, such as the promotion of Guri City's incorporation into Seoul, the relocation of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) to Guri City, and the development of the Topyeong 2 Public Housing District in Guri. The city requested active support and cooperation for these initiatives to secure future growth engines.


Additionally, the city reported on projects applying for Gyeonggi-do special adjustment grants aimed at improving residents' convenience and enhancing urban safety and transportation. These include the construction of the Administrative Welfare Center in Gyomun 1-dong, an additional stop for GTX-B at Galmae Station, improvements to traffic safety at the Guri Wholesale Market, construction of the Guri City Welfare Center for the Disabled, the second phase of the Geombaeneighborhood Park development, and the creation of a safe pedestrian path along Mangwoo Circular Road in Guri. The city requested active support to secure these special adjustment grants.

Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "I am grateful for the active support that has allowed the efforts made over the past three and a half years for the happiness of our citizens and the development of the city to bear fruit. I ask for the party's continued support and cooperation to successfully advance major city administration projects and to overcome challenging fiscal conditions, including the increasing demand for social welfare."


Na Taekeun, Chair of the Guri City Party Members Council of the People Power Party, said, "According to Articles 7 and 8 of the Constitution, public officials must serve the people, and political parties must actively cooperate and support this goal. Based on the spirit of the Constitution, we will further strengthen our cooperation with the public officials' organization and spare no necessary support to enhance the safety and convenience of our citizens."
