Signing of MOU for F&B Specialized AI Innovation
SPC Group is partnering with Naver to accelerate the transition to artificial intelligence (AI) across its entire management operations.
Sektanine, SPC Group’s IT and marketing solutions subsidiary, announced on the 17th that it has signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for F&B Specialized AI Innovation' with Naver Cloud, an AI platform company. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, and Kim Daeil, CEO of Sektanine.

The two companies will work together to build an 'AI-based F&B platform' by combining SPC Group’s accumulated experience and data in the F&B retail business with Naver Cloud’s advanced AI technology and reliable cloud infrastructure. Through this collaboration, they aim to revolutionize the customer experience and maximize management efficiency. They also plan to expand their business scope to offer these services to other companies.
As a first step, they will enhance AI-powered personalized services on the membership platform 'Happy Point App.' By analyzing purchase history and various data, the app will offer optimized personalized benefits and menu recommendations. In addition to AI chatbot consultations, they plan to introduce a customer participation-based research and development (R&D) system that allows customer-proposed ideas to be turned into actual products.
AI technology will also be applied to manufacturing and logistics stages to strengthen productivity and stability. AI-based equipment failure prediction technology will be used to minimize equipment downtime and defect rates, while sophisticated demand forecasting will help establish an optimal production system. Store operations will also become smarter with the development of inventory management systems using AI analysis, as well as intelligent solutions that automate customer service and operational tasks.
Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, stated, "This collaboration will be a meaningful step in leading the AI transformation of the F&B retail industry.
