Korbit Signs MOU with Green Umbrella for Virtual Asset Donation Campaign

Korbit, a virtual asset exchange, announced on the 17th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, a child welfare organization, to promote a transparent donation culture utilizing virtual assets and to support future generations.

This agreement aims to innovatively expand the scope of donations in line with the digital asset era. It was pursued to maximize transparency and efficiency in the management of donations by leveraging blockchain technology.


Through this MOU, Korbit and Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation will jointly conduct a "Virtual Asset Donation Campaign to Support Future Generations."


Korbit will utilize its technological expertise and operational know-how to build and support a secure platform environment where donors can safely and easily donate virtual assets. By applying blockchain’s distributed ledger technology, every stage of the donation process-from fundraising and execution to post-management-will be transparently disclosed. The company plans to focus on significantly enhancing trust in the use of donated funds.


Oh Sejin, CEO of Korbit, stated, "It is meaningful for Korbit to present a pioneering social contribution model utilizing digital assets. Through our collaboration with Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, we will establish a new dimension of donation culture that enhances transparency and efficiency, and actively contribute to supporting the healthy growth of children."


Yeo Seungsoo, Secretary General of Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, said, "This agreement marks the first time our organization is entering the new field of virtual asset donations. It reflects our commitment to maintaining the principle of 'child-centered social contribution' even in a changing digital environment."


After signing the MOU, the two organizations will finalize detailed campaign operation plans and officially launch the virtual asset donation campaign in the first half of 2026. Both Korbit and Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation expect this collaboration to serve as a leading example of social responsibility initiatives within the domestic virtual asset industry.
