This consultation meeting was organized to go beyond existing export markets by inviting buyers from Hong Kong and the Greater China region, aiming to pioneer new overseas markets and achieve tangible export contract results.

Twelve leading export companies specializing in processed agricultural products from Hongcheon and nine companies from Inje participated in the event, while ten buyers from the Greater China region, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, attended as overseas buyers.

The consultation showcased a wide variety of premium products that reflect the pristine nature and traditional processing methods of the Hongcheon region. These included health functional foods such as bellflower root concentrate, omija concentrate, wild ginseng, red ginseng sticks, and wild pear juice, as well as snacks and ready-to-eat products like handmade gangjeong, dried chips, and instant kalguksu.

In addition, through product introductions, demonstrations, and one-on-one customized export consultations between companies and buyers, practical export contracts were signed and negotiations for entry into local distribution networks took place.

As a result, Baekidonggol Agricultural Corporation (CEO Oh Seokjo) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for exports worth 25,000 US dollars for its instant gangdoenjang product, while Girine (CEO Yoon Jaegil) achieved an export MOU worth 300,000 US dollars for its shiitake chips and dried chips.

An official from Hongcheon County stated, "We will spare no effort in providing various follow-up support, such as special sales events, to ensure that the companies achieving contract results at this export consultation can realize actual exports. We will continue to support local companies for stable overseas expansion and to strengthen their export competitiveness."
