Strengthening Product Competitiveness and Expanding Sales Channels
Jeonnam Province announced that it has achieved results in expanding sales channels, such as strengthening product competitiveness and increasing sales, through its brand design development support project for Organic Masters and Ecological Villages.
The brand design development support project was promoted with a focus on establishing brand identity and enhancing design competitiveness, aiming to effectively convey the value of eco-friendly agricultural products and processed goods produced by Organic Masters and Ecological Villages to consumers.
This year, Jeonnam Province invested 500 million won to develop and renew 42 items with applied brand and packaging designs for six Organic Masters and six Ecological Villages. As a result, the participating masters and villages have established a brand foundation that can be utilized in various distribution channels, including direct transactions and online sales.
Baekryeon Village in Hampyeong, which received support for brand design development, improved the brand and packaging design of its organic rice and grain products, resulting in a sales increase of 100 million won compared to the previous year, reaching 400 million won this year. Lee Okshin, an Organic Master who received support for product design development such as ginseng raw material packaging, also saw sales rise from 82 million won last year to 200 million won this year.
Kim Youngseok, Director of the Eco-friendly Agriculture Division of Jeonnam Province, stated, "Product design tailored to the characteristics of Organic Masters and Ecological Villages is an important factor in consumers' decisions to purchase eco-friendly agricultural products. This project is helping to strengthen market competitiveness and expand sales channels. We will continue to support farmers' income growth through various policies and support projects for eco-friendly farmers."
