Ongi Warehouse is a food market specialized for shantytown residents, where they can directly choose and take the items they need within their individually allocated credit limits. The Ongi Warehouse in Changsin-dong is the fourth store to open in Seoul, following those in Seoul Station, Donui-dong, and Yeongdeungpo.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ohseong Kwon, Chairman of the Seoul Economic Committee (Yangcheon-gu Chamber of Commerce), Vice Chairmen Youngjin Son (Gwangjin-gu Chamber of Commerce), Taesoon Son (Seocho-gu Chamber of Commerce), and Gwangseok Kim (Yongsan-gu Chamber of Commerce), as well as Mikyung Kim, Director of Self-Sufficiency Support at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and Youngjun Cho, Head of the Sustainability Management Center at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The participants helped display goods and visited shantytown households to deliver daily necessities as part of their volunteer activities.

Chairman Kwon said, "It is meaningful that the donations raised by the Seoul Economic Committee, which is composed of small and medium-sized business owners in Seoul, are being delivered to marginalized neighbors in the local community," and added, "Going forward, the Seoul Economic Committee will continue to engage in sharing activities in the community, along with promoting new entrepreneurial spirit."

This initiative was planned as part of the New Entrepreneurial Spirit Council (ERT) project of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The New Entrepreneurial Spirit Council is joined by more than 1,900 companies and 72 regional chambers of commerce that share the view that companies should play a new role in spreading social value beyond simply creating economic value.
