Selected as the Best University in Each Region in the 2025 University ROTC Candidate Installation Evaluation
The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) at Dong-A University once again demonstrated its prestige by achieving the highest rating in the Ministry of National Defense's evaluation.
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 16th that, as a result of the "2025 University ROTC Candidate Installation Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of National Defense, Dong-A University was selected as the "Best University."

This evaluation is conducted every two years for 119 universities nationwide with ROTC units, and 12 universities are selected as the best in each military and regional category. Dong-A University was named the best university in the Busan and Gyeongnam region, and the Minister of National Defense Award is presented to the outstanding universities.
The Dong-A University ROTC received high marks for its systematic preparations and proactive support, including the signing of operational agreements between the university and the military, the renewal of the ROTC website, and expanded support for exploration expenses, educational equipment, and supplies.
Lee Seunghyun, Commander of the Dong-A University ROTC, said, "The continuous interest and support from President Lee Haewoo and other university officials led to our selection as the best ROTC unit in the Ministry of National Defense evaluation and as an outstanding ROTC unit at the Army Cadet Military School. We will continue to select outstanding ROTC candidates and further enhance the university's tradition and honor."
Dong-A University ROTC, established in 1961 as one of the nation's first ROTC units, is a prestigious institution that has produced six generals and over 4,500 officers, including Nam Youngshin, former Chief of Staff of the Army (retired General, Class of 1981, Department of Education, 23rd ROTC class).
The Dong-A University ROTC has been selected as the best ROTC unit in the Ministry of National Defense evaluation a total of 11 times, has won the education inspection 11 times, ranked first nationwide in summer training 8 times, and ranked first in commissioning scores 3 times, solidifying its reputation as a leading ROTC unit in Korea.
