The contest was organized under the slogan "We Brand Our Youth Policy," aiming to design the identity of Namyangju's youth policy together with young people. From November 3 to 21, submissions were accepted nationwide from youth aged 19 to 39 in three categories: slogan, policy symbol (CI), and policy character. A total of 168 entries were received.
The winners were selected by combining expert evaluations and online citizen voting. Notably, 1,246 citizens participated in the online vote, demonstrating high public interest in youth policy.
The grand prizes were awarded to: the slogan "Youth Rises. The Heart of Namyangju Beats" (Koo Taerin, Namyangju); a symbol design representing hope, growth, and youth (Lee Kyuseong, Seoul); and the character "Nari & Solchan," inspired by Namyangju's nature and youth entrepreneurship (Beom Yeeun, Namyangju). In addition, six excellence awards and eight encouragement awards were given, with a total of 17 entries selected as winners. A total of 3.9 million won in prize money was distributed by category.
The city plans to actively incorporate the winning entries into future youth policy promotional materials and content. By utilizing symbols created directly by young people, the city expects to foster greater public support for its policies and accelerate the creation of a youth-friendly city led by youth themselves.
Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stated, "This contest was a meaningful attempt to express the perspectives of youth on policy in a creative way," adding, "We will apply the symbols created by youth across various fields so that they become not just simple images, but true symbols of a city built together with young people."
