Strengthening Investigative Infrastructure Through Joint Crackdowns with Related Agencies Receives High Praise

According to Seogu District on December 16, this evaluation, organized by Gwangju City, was conducted to strengthen the investigative capabilities of special judicial police and to enhance crackdowns on crimes affecting citizens' livelihoods in the five autonomous districts of Gwangju. The final decision was made through a comprehensive review of four categories and nine items, including the operation performance of special judicial police and efforts to strengthen investigative capabilities.
This year, Seogu District has carried out proactive, planned crackdowns in areas closely related to residents' daily lives, such as food hygiene, environmental protection, and youth protection, achieving a high prosecution rate of 84% and demonstrating strict and precise investigative activities.
In particular, Seogu District received high marks for its swift response to violations under close cooperation with related agencies such as Gwangju City, Seobu Police Station, and the Gwangju Regional Food and Drug Safety Administration. The district also strengthened its investigative infrastructure by conducting joint crackdowns with related organizations and expanding practical investigation training programs.
Song Mincheol, Director of the Safety and Urban Affairs Bureau, stated, "Our unwavering and strict response to illegal activities directly affecting residents' safety has yielded positive results," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to realize 'Seogu, a good city where law and principles stand firm,' through professional special judicial police activities."
