JYP Entertainment announced on the 16th that it held its annual social contribution event, 'EDM DAY,' to reflect on this year's charitable activities.
JYP has continued its social contribution efforts since 2002, when it hosted a year-end charity concert for children’s hospital wards with its affiliated artists. Since 2019, the company has systematized its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives under the slogan 'EDM (Every Dream Matters),' focusing on supporting the dreams of children and adolescents.
On the previous day, JYP released the '2025 JYP EDM DAY' video through its official social networking service (SNS) accounts. The event featured Jinyoung Park, singer Jun.K, and Yuna from ITZY, along with children who have benefited from the EDM program.
Through its core project of providing medical expense support, JYP assisted 803 children with illnesses in Korea and abroad this year. In collaboration with the international relief and development NGO World Vision, JYP expanded its support beyond Asia to Central and South America, providing aid to children in nine countries: Mexico, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
From 2020 to November this year, the EDM medical expense support program provided a total of 7.92 billion won to children in 10 countries over six years. During this period, 3,959 children benefited from the program, including 366 in Korea and 3,593 overseas.
Additionally, JYP continued its picture book creation volunteer work involving its artists and employees. This year, members of TWICE, ITZY, and company staff participated in producing the picture book 'Twinkle Twinkle, Our Parol.' Separate editions were created in Tagalog for children in the Philippines and in Korean for children in Korea.
The newly launched 'EDM Giving Project' was also introduced this year. Through this project, fans voluntarily donated funds for children's medical expenses at JYP artists' concerts and via online fundraising. A total of 45,214,400 won was donated through performances by Day6, TWICE, Stray Kids, Xdinary Heroes, and NMIXX.
The charity basketball tournament 'JYPBT Championship' also continued this year. All participation fees and sponsorship funds from the competing teams were donated, with this year's total of 21 million won delivered to Samsung Medical Center to be used for children's medical expenses.
In the environmental sector, JYP continued its eco-friendly campaign 'Love Earth.' Through the 'Race for Ocean' campaign, JYP and its fans engaged in carbon-neutral activities, and 50,510,000 won accumulated based on participation was donated to coastal protection efforts. This funding supported a total of 40 coastal and shoreline cleanup activities.
JYP stated that Jinyoung Park and other affiliated artists continue to engage in various charitable activities, including support for children’s medical expenses and disaster relief. Since 2022, Jinyoung Park has donated 1 billion won annually, totaling 4 billion won, and other artists such as Wooyoung Jang, Dowoon from Day6, TWICE, Stray Kids, Yeji and Chaeryeong from ITZY, and NMIXX have also participated in charitable initiatives.
Jinyoung Park said, "We continue the EDM program to give courage and strength to children for whom achieving their dreams is difficult."
