EnergyX Selected for Korea Electric Power Corporation's "Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project" Provided by EnergyX

EnergyX, an innovative company in the field of building energy, has been selected for the "Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project" led by Korea Electric Power Corporation. Through this selection, EnergyX will receive up to 600 million won in business commercialization funding over the next three years, as well as various forms of support for entering global markets.

The "Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project" is a national strategic program in which the government, public institutions, and private sector collaborate to foster technology startups with the potential to lead the global market. EnergyX was chosen for the project in recognition of its technological competitiveness in building energy optimization and self-sustaining energy systems.

EnergyX provides comprehensive energy optimization solutions for buildings and infrastructure, possessing proprietary solutions that combine artificial intelligence-based energy optimization technology with non-standard architectural design. Since its establishment, the company has experienced rapid growth and has attracted attention both domestically and internationally. It has also gained global recognition by implementing the world’s first plus energy building, "EnergyX DY Building," which achieved an energy self-sufficiency rate of 130%.

To date, the company has secured over 50 billion won in investments and more than 300 intellectual property rights, continually advancing its technology. In particular, through its two core brands, "EnergyX Zero" and "EnergyX System," it is setting new standards for net-zero architecture. EnergyX Zero is an AI-based software and consulting solution that maximizes energy efficiency during the design and operation phases, while EnergyX System is a manufacturing and engineering solution for energy-generating, non-standard exterior materials that integrates Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).

Through these offerings, architects, developers, and building owners can minimize energy consumption while producing clean energy within the building itself, achieving carbon emission reduction, long-term energy independence, and sustained design value simultaneously. EnergyX is redefining buildings as "living, moving energy systems" not only in new construction but also in remodeling, presenting an approach that transforms building exteriors into design-driven intelligent energy systems.

Based on its experience in over 2,000 projects and more than 300 IP assets, EnergyX is leading the transition to net-zero building environments. In particular, the "EnergyX DY Building" is considered a case that proves self-sufficient, profitable, and design-resilient architecture is achievable. The company explains that this demonstrates how sustainability is no longer a financial burden but is becoming a measurable and value-generating competitive advantage.

Jean Jacques Dandrieux, Chief Strategy Officer of EnergyX, said, "EnergyX’s AI-based energy optimization technology has been recognized for its unrivaled competitiveness in the future of architecture. With this selection, we will further solidify our role as a leader in the transition to net-zero buildings and grow as a global leader that creates both social and economic value through sustainable technological innovation."
