Hunet: "7 Out of 10 Companies Provide AI Training"

Survey Results on Corporate AI Utilization and Awareness Released

Hunet announced the results of the "Corporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) Utilization and Awareness" survey on December 16.

The survey was conducted in November with HR and training managers from 371 companies in Korea. The results showed that, this year, 71.4% of companies provided AI training, combining "training for all employees" (22.1%) and "selective training for specific departments or personnel" (49.3%). Regarding AI training plans for 2026, the most common response was "expansion compared to the previous year" (53.9%).

When asked which roles require AI training (multiple responses allowed), the most frequent answer was "all roles" (71.7%). This indicates that AI is being recognized as a core competency across all roles, not just specific ones.

In addition, employees' AI utilization was rated at an average of 3.0 out of 5, while the level of AI adoption by companies was rated at an average of 2.7 out of 5. This suggests that employees' perception of their own AI utilization is somewhat higher than the organization's overall level of adoption. The main challenges companies face in adopting and expanding AI (multiple responses allowed) were "limitations in IT infrastructure and systems" (43.1%) and "gaps in utilization levels among employees" (42.6%).

A Hunet representative stated, "There is a need for an integrated AI training strategy that goes beyond employees' work-related AI utilization to encompass organizational culture as well."
