Consulting Initiative for Mongolian SME Manufacturers
The ASEM SME Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC) announced on December 16 that it will officially launch the "Carbon Reduction Diagnostic Consulting Program" for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in Mongolia starting in December.
This program is a follow-up project to the "Mongolia SME Carbon Management Capacity Building Seminar" held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in November, and is designed to enhance the practical carbon management capabilities of local companies.

The seminar was jointly hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of Korea and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia, and was organized by ASEIC. Key programs included: an update on the Mongolian government's policy efforts for reduction and NDC 3.0; understanding carbon neutrality and global trends; greenhouse gas management cases and emission calculation tool utilization for SMEs; strategies for reducing greenhouse gases in industrial processes; and the current status of reduction efforts in the Mongolian industrial sector.
ASEIC plans to select some of the companies that participated in the seminar and provide sequential consulting services, including on-site diagnostics, identification of emission sources, analysis of reduction potential, and discovery of reduction items. In particular, ASEIC will propose customized reduction strategies for a total of 10 major manufacturing companies in Mongolia's cement, steel, brick, and lime industries.
Currently, the president of the Innobiz Association concurrently serves as the chairman of ASEIC by virtue of office. ASEIC operates practical support programs such as carbon neutrality education, consulting, and technology dissemination for approximately 470 companies to help SMEs respond to climate change.
