[2026 Regular Admissions] Kyung Hee University to Select 44.9% of Total Intake Through Regular Admissions... Full Marks for English Up to Level 2

Switch to Deduction by Grade System

Kyung Hee University will select 2,415 students for the 2026 regular admissions, accounting for 44.9% of the total intake.

By admission type, 2,217 students will be chosen through the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT)-centered process, and 198 through the performance-centered process. The number of students recruited via the CSAT-centered process has decreased by seven compared to last year. Applications will be accepted for three days, from 10:00 a.m. on the 29th until 6:00 p.m. on the 31st.

For this regular admissions cycle, Kyung Hee University has changed its previous absolute grading system from a “proportional reflection by CSAT subject area” method to a “deduction by grade” method. For English, there will be no point deductions for grades up to Level 2, effectively treating them as full marks. This reduces the burden of the English section, which was considered difficult. For English grades of Level 3 or below, and Korean History grades of Level 5 or below, points will be deducted from the total score on a sliding scale.

Accordingly, the CSAT subject reflection ratios for the Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Arts & Physical Education divisions have been changed. Since the reflection ratios for each division differ, even if the total standardized scores are the same, the recalculated CSAT scores will vary depending on performance in the areas with higher weighting. The reflection ratios for Korean, Mathematics, and Inquiry (Social Studies/Science) are as follows: Humanities 40/25/35, Social Sciences 35/35/30, Natural Sciences 25/40/35, and Arts & Physical Education 60/0/40. For each CSAT subject, standardized scores are used for Korean and Mathematics, while the university’s own percentile-converted standardized scores are used for the Inquiry section. The percentile-converted standardized scores for the Inquiry section can be checked on the admissions website after individual CSAT results are released.

Previously, the Pre-Medicine (Humanities) program reflected the Humanities CSAT subject areas, but it will now reflect the Social Sciences CSAT subject areas. Accordingly, the CSAT reflection ratio for Pre-Medicine (Humanities) will be 35% Korean, 35% Mathematics, and 30% Inquiry (two subjects). The additional points previously awarded to Humanities applicants who took Social Studies will be discontinued starting with the 2026 regular admissions. For Natural Sciences applicants, the existing policy of awarding up to four points per Science subject, with a maximum of eight points, will continue. However, the College of Liberal Studies will not award additional points to applicants who take Science subjects.
