This discussion is especially significant as a follow-up step to expand the scope of exchange to university and regional education and research, following the climate and environmental cooperation agreement signed last July and August when the Yeoncheon Carbon Neutrality Support Center (headed by Professor Jeon Mi-ae) visited Choibalsan City and Bayandun Soum in Dornod Province. Both sides shared their vision for a mid- to long-term educational and academic partnership based on climate and environmental cooperation.

The main agenda items addressed during the meeting included revitalizing student exchange and study abroad programs, expanding joint research and academic exchanges, and strengthening educational capacity and administrative cooperation. Both sides agreed to jointly plan and operate various international education programs such as study abroad, student exchange, and short-term training, in order to broaden students' global learning opportunities.

In addition, they discussed promoting joint research in various fields such as education, science, technology, and the humanities and social sciences, as well as measures to enhance academic competitiveness through sharing research materials and co-hosting seminars and academic conferences. They also reviewed ways to strengthen administrative cooperation by linking local government and university partnerships to foster regional development and build a sustainable educational ecosystem.

President Jang Seokhwan stated, "This business meeting is an important opportunity for both institutions to expand their international education cooperation network and lay the groundwork for practical exchanges," adding, "We will gradually and concretely develop cooperation with Dornod Province, focusing on student exchanges and joint research."

The Governor of Dornod Province also expressed a strong commitment to continued exchange, noting, "Cooperation with Daejin University represents meaningful progress in providing broader educational opportunities for young people in Mongolia."

Daejin University plans to use this meeting as an opportunity to further specify areas of cooperation with Dornod Province, Mongolia, and will continue to expand international exchange programs and joint research to strengthen the global competitiveness of both the region and the university.
