Gwangju Bank announced on December 11 that it has launched 'Digital Deposit,' a non-face-to-face exclusive deposit product that allows customers to freely set the contract period and deposit amount, and supports more convenient fund management through the 'Automatic Maturity Reinvestment Service.'

'Digital Deposit' offers a preferential interest rate to customers who agree to receive marketing information. If customers apply for the Automatic Maturity Reinvestment Service during the subscription process, the deposit will be automatically reinvested under the same conditions at maturity without any additional procedures, enabling efficient fund management.

The product is available to individuals with verified identities, with a minimum deposit amount of 1 million won. The contract period can be freely chosen by the customer, ranging from at least 1 month to up to 36 months.

To commemorate the launch, Gwangju Bank is holding an interest rate event until January 30 of next year. During the event period, new subscribers who choose a 6-month contract and withdraw at maturity will receive a maximum annual interest rate of 2.83%. This maximum rate consists of the basic annual rate of 2.63%, an additional 0.10 percentage points for agreeing to marketing, and another 0.10 percentage points as a launch event bonus.

This event rate is available up to a total limit of 50 billion won, and the event may end early if the limit is reached.

Additionally, 'Digital Deposit' offers a partial withdrawal feature, allowing customers to make up to two partial withdrawals during the contract period. This enables customers to access emergency funds without having to withdraw the entire deposit, ensuring both stability and flexibility.

Customers can subscribe to the product through Gwangju Wa Bank (App) and mobile web banking (Web) without visiting a branch. Detailed information about the product and the event can be found on the Gwangju Bank website or by contacting the customer center.

Byun Mikyung, Deputy President and Head of Digital Division at Gwangju Bank, stated, "'Digital Deposit' is a practical financial product that reduces the burden of fund management for customers through the automatic maturity reinvestment and partial withdrawal features. We will continue to launch digital financial products that reflect customer needs, further enhancing convenience and benefits."
