New Tamna Jeon App Installation Required

Jeju Tamna Jeon to Launch New Platform... Temporary Suspension Early Next Year Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Government Building.

The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province local currency, 'Tamna Jeon,' will suspend all services, including payments and recharging, from 12:00 a.m. on January 1 to 9:00 a.m. on January 9 next year to launch a new platform.

The operating agency will change from NICE Information & Telecommunication to Bizplay, during which data migration and the application of the new platform will be carried out.

All services will resume with the launch of the new platform at 9:00 a.m. on January 9.

From January 9, users will need to search for 'Tamna Jeon' in the Play Store (Android) or App Store (Google) and install the new app. After completing identity verification, users will be able to check their transferred balance from the previous app.

Existing Tamna Jeon cards that have already been issued can continue to be used without reissuance. The 30% income tax deduction for year-end tax settlement and the 40% deduction for using traditional markets will remain the same.

Merchants will continue to benefit from zero-fee QR payment processing. Previously issued QR kits can also be used without any changes.

The new Tamna Jeon will feature additional functions such as gifting coupons and contactless payment. A location-based merchant search service will also be provided. A dedicated merchant mode has been newly developed for payment settlement confirmation and other functions.

Kim Miyoung, Director of Economic Vitality for Jeju Province, stated, "We will focus on promoting the new platform through various channels to minimize confusion among Tamna Jeon merchants and residents," adding, "As the new platform greatly improves payment convenience and merchant management features, users will experience even better service after the relaunch."
