Professor Sungjin Choi of Dongmyung University Appointed President of the Korean Society of Health Psychology

Professor Sungjin Choi of the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Dongmyung University has been inaugurated as the 17th President of the Korean Society of Health Psychology.

Professor Choi was elected as the president at the regular general meeting of the 70th Winter Academic Conference of the Korean Society of Health Psychology, held on December 12, 2025, at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. His term will last until December 2027.

Since joining Dongmyung University as a professor in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology in 2017, Professor Choi has served as a director of the Korean Society of Clinical Psychology and the Korean Society of Health Psychology, as well as the vice president of the Suicide and Violence Prevention Division of the Korean Youth Counseling Association.

In his inaugural address, Professor Choi stated, "In the face of new challenges of our era, I will do my best to ensure that health psychology becomes a field that can contribute to the local community."
