"Exchange Currency, Get Free Chicken"... Shinhan Bank Launches Winter Event

Shinhan Bank will hold the "Exchange Your Winter Travel for Delicious Happiness" event from December 15, 2025, to February 28, 2026.

This event offers gifts to customers who use the Sol Easy Currency Exchange service, and provides additional benefits if they share the event with friends. During the event period, customers who exchange any of 34 currencies using the Sol Easy Currency Exchange service on the Shinhan SOL Bank app and confirm participation on the event page will be eligible to enter. The three currencies-US dollar, Japanese yen, and euro-are excluded from this event.

Shinhan Bank will select a total of 1,900 winners by lottery from among the entrants, awarding Kyochon Chicken Honey Boneless + Cola (100 winners), Burger King Quattro Cheese Whopper Set (300 winners), Dunkin' 10-piece Munchkins (500 winners), and Mega Coffee Honey Americano (1,000 winners).

Additionally, if customers introduce the event to friends using the "Share" feature on the event page, the number of shares will be counted, and the top three participants with the most shares will receive a Shinsegae gift certificate worth 100,000 won. It is possible to win both the currency exchange event and the sharing event simultaneously.

A Shinhan Bank representative said, "We planned this event so that customers preparing for overseas trips at the end and beginning of the year can enjoy special benefits while exchanging currency," adding, "We will continue to provide a variety of currency exchange services to enhance customers' travel and daily convenience."

Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank is also running a separate event for US dollar, Japanese yen, and euro until the end of the year. Customers who use the Sol Travel Check Card to instantly exchange these three currencies at foreign currency ATMs through a linked KRW account will receive a 100% preferential exchange rate, and will also be eligible for prizes when using this benefit.
