On December 15, Gapyeong County announced that Chaeeumsoop Co., Ltd. ranked first among 360 forest welfare specialist organizations nationwide at the performance sharing event, which was jointly hosted by the Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forest Welfare Institute and recently held in Daejeon.
Based in Gapyeong County, Chaeeumsoop Co., Ltd. has steadily expanded its business scope by operating forest interpretation, early childhood forest education, and forest healing programs, as well as developing environmental ecology education, forest experience tourism, virtual reality (VR) forest education content, and forest facility management. In particular, the company received high marks in this evaluation for expanding opportunities for local residents to participate and for spreading the private forest welfare model through collaboration with local social welfare organizations, schools, and private companies.
Chaeeumsoop Co., Ltd. has accumulated on-site experience by operating forest interpretation and forest education projects entrusted by Gapyeong County over several years, establishing itself as a leading social enterprise in the local forest welfare sector. Additionally, the company has discovered and advanced regional collaboration models through financial support projects, Social Value Index (SVI) consulting, and management support projects.
Nam Jugwang, Executive Director of Chaeeumsoop Co., Ltd., stated, "We will further advance our forest education and forest healing programs and expand sustainable forest welfare models in connection with the local community. We also plan to participate in the Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System project to seek a local coexistence model that combines forest welfare and lifelong education."
Meanwhile, Chaeeumsoop Co., Ltd. plans to operate the "Senior Forest Health Education: Fulfillment and Learning in the Forest" program next year with support from the Korea Forest Service, the Lottery Committee, and the Korea Forest Welfare Institute. Through this initiative, the company aims to further expand opportunities for Gapyeong County residents to participate in forest welfare programs.
