This session was organized to share a detailed implementation plan with local residents for transforming Gapcheon High School into a specialized high school optimized for the region's industrial needs, in line with the establishment of Hoengseong County's strategic industry, the "Future E-Mobility Hub Specialized Complex."

The briefing session proceeded in the following order: Principal Kwon Sangmun of Gapcheon High School presented on the "Current Status of the School and the Transition Plan," followed by Professor Lee Changhoon of Chungnam National University, who shared the "Research Results on the Transition to Gangwon Mobility High School."

In the presentation on the "Current Status of the School and the Transition Plan," the current situation of the school was assessed, and the strong commitment of the school community to transition into the mobility sector was conveyed.

Next, the presentation on the "Research Results on the Educational Operation Plan for Gangwon Mobility High School" provided specific details on the restructuring of departments, specialized curricula, plans for new dormitory and practice buildings, and post-graduation career strategies.

The Provincial Office of Education plans to incorporate the research findings announced at this session, as well as feedback from local residents, to accelerate the process of converting Gapcheon High School into a specialized high school, with the goal of reopening as the new institution in March 2030.

Kim Seongrae, Director of Secondary Education, stated, "The transition to Gangwon Mobility High School is not only about saving a school at risk of closure, but also about undertaking the critical task of nurturing talent to lead Hoengseong County's core mobility industry. We will create the nation's top mobility-specialized high school by supporting the establishment of advanced facilities and equipment and introducing curricula in the e-mobility field."
