On December 13, Olympic medalist and former national team coach Yoo Yeonseong (badminton) and current national team coach Hyun Junghwa (table tennis) participated in the Sports Care Class to provide direct instruction to elementary, middle, and high school students in the region.

The badminton class, held in the morning at Samcheok Gymnasium, began with basic movements and fundamental training, followed by practice and game activities that fostered teamwork among the students. In the afternoon, the table tennis class at Eoullim Plaza offered basic movement and rally training, giving students the opportunity to experience professional sports skills.

Building on this enthusiasm, Samcheok City will operate Sports Care Classes for basketball and dance on December 27. The basketball class will be led by Coach Kim Seunghyun, known as "Magic Hand," at the Kangwon National University Complex Sports Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., where students will be guided through basic movements, tactical understanding, practice, and cooperative activities.

The dance class, led by renowned choreographer Bucky, will take place at the Samcheok City Youth Training Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring rhythm training, basic moves and choreography for broadcast dance, and stage demonstrations.

These programs are also open to 50 elementary, middle, and high school students per sport. Applications can be submitted online via Naver Form from 9 a.m. on December 15 to 6 p.m. on December 19. Selected participants will be notified individually after the application period ends.

A city official stated, "This program was designed to support the holistic development of local students and to alleviate the childcare burden on parents," adding, "We hope that meeting famous athletes and professional instructors will serve as an opportunity for children to explore their dreams and career paths and to grow up healthy."
