The Human Rights Management System certification is granted after evaluating the appropriateness of human rights management objectives, policies, and implementation requirements based on international standards, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Through this certification, BISTEP has established a human rights management system that meets international standards and has been publicly recognized for fulfilling its social responsibility throughout its operations.

To strengthen human rights management, BISTEP has declared a human rights management statement, conducted human rights impact assessments, established grievance redress procedures, and provided human rights education to all executives and employees.

During the recent review, BISTEP received high marks for activating grievance channels such as anonymous bulletin boards, surveys, one-on-one conversations with the president, and grievance counselors, as well as for fostering a healthy organizational culture through the expansion of flexible work arrangements, operation of Culture Day, and on-site workshops.

Kim Youngbu, President of BISTEP, stated, "This certification is the result of our efforts to establish a culture where every member is respected, going beyond merely building a system," adding, "We will proactively manage human rights risks and establish ourselves as a trusted leader in human rights management."
