Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byungsoo) has achieved a remarkable feat by receiving the "Excellence Award" in the "2025 Corporate SOS Awards" organized by Gyeonggi Province, in recognition of its active efforts to create a business-friendly environment.

The city announced on the 12th that it was honored as an excellent institution and secured a prize of 3 million won at the award ceremony held at the Ramada Plaza Suwon Hotel on the 11th, thanks to high evaluations for its "win-win cooperation model" and "on-site resolution of business difficulties."
This evaluation targeted 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, and consisted of a first round of quantitative assessment that comprehensively reviewed overall administrative support for businesses, including interest in business challenges, handling of business difficulties, regulatory improvement, and promotional performance. The second round was a qualitative evaluation focusing on the presentation of outstanding policies by each city and county.
Gimpo City received high marks in the first round for its performance in resolving business difficulties, regulatory improvements, and promotional activities. In the second round, the city was recognized for its achievement in establishing a "win-win cooperation model" that prioritizes the use of local products and workforce in large-scale construction projects within the city, ultimately being selected as one of the five top-performing cities and counties.
A Gimpo City official stated, "This award reflects our continued efforts to listen to the voices of the business community and to resolve their difficulties," adding, "We will continue to discover and enhance unique business support policies so that local companies can focus on their management, making Gimpo a truly business-friendly city."
