Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will open two new winter facilities on December 20: an outdoor skating rink along the Tancheon Stream in Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu, and a sledding slope at the outdoor parking lot of Seongnam Sports Complex in Seongnam-dong, Jungwon-gu.

The skating rink will begin operations at 1:00 p.m. on the opening day, while the sledding slope will open at 3:00 p.m. following their respective opening ceremonies.
On the day of the opening ceremony, the skating rink will feature a figure skating dance performance, while the sledding slope will host a popera performance. Both venues will also offer sticker tattoo and balloon art experience booths.
The usage fee is 1,000 won per session, which includes the rental of skates, sleds, helmets, and other equipment.
The skating rink along the Tancheon Stream in Yatap-dong covers an area of 4,000 square meters. It is equipped with a standard rink (58 meters long by 16 meters wide) and a traditional sledding rink (38 meters long by 16 meters wide).
For beginners learning to skate, animal-shaped aids such as penguins are available for rent.
The sledding slope at Seongnam Sports Complex features 10 lanes (28 meters wide by 55 meters long).
It operates as an ice tube slide, where visitors can ride tubes down a sloped ice surface.
Both leisure facilities are equipped with amenities such as first aid rooms, snack bars, food trucks, and restrooms. A total of 50 safety personnel will be stationed throughout the venues.

The facilities will operate for 58 days, until February 15 of the following year.
On weekdays, there will be six one-hour sessions each day, running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, there will be one additional session, with a total of seven sessions running until 8:00 p.m.
Some admission tickets will be sold online.
For each session, 90 out of 130 skating rink tickets and 120 out of 180 sledding slope tickets can be reserved online up to the day before.
