Seongnam City Accelerates Collection of Resident Feedback on Redevelopment Plans for Sujeong and Jungwon Zones

Resident Briefings to Begin with Sujin 2 District on December 17
Taepyeong 2·4, Sanseong, Dandae, and Sangdaewon 1·3 Districts to Follow

Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor: Shin Sangjin) will sequentially hold preliminary resident briefings on the establishment of redevelopment and maintenance plans and the designation of maintenance areas for five districts within the Sujeong and Jungwon living zones, starting with the Sujin 2 district on December 17.

This resident briefing has been organized to gather residents' opinions on the maintenance plans and estimated contribution costs for the five districts-Sujin 2, Taepyeong 2·4, Sanseong, Dandae, and Sangdaewon 1·3-reviewed as part of the "service for establishing redevelopment and maintenance plans and designating maintenance areas," which began on September 23. The maintenance plans include land use plans, strategies for expanding urban planning facilities and social overhead capital (SOC), and building plans for each district.

The schedule for the preliminary resident briefings is as follows: Sujin 2 district at 10:00 a.m. and Taepyeong 2·4 district at 2:00 p.m. on December 17; Sanseong district at 2:00 p.m. on December 19; and Dandae district at 2:00 p.m. on December 22, all at the main conference room of Sujeong District Office. The briefing for Sangdaewon 1·3 district will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 24 at the main conference room of Jungwon District Office.

Any resident interested in the redevelopment project, including land and property owners in the relevant districts, may attend the briefings without prior registration.

Mayor Shin Sangjin of Seongnam City stated, "It is important to share opinions with residents during the planning stage, as this enhances the transparency and credibility of the project," adding, "We will thoroughly review the feedback from each district and faithfully reflect it in the maintenance plans."

Seongnam City plans to finalize maintenance plans tailored to the characteristics of each district and complete the designation of maintenance areas by 2026, following the collection of resident feedback and expert consultation through this series of resident briefings.
