Park Daejun and Kang Hanseung Also Decline to Attend
Bom Kim, Chairman of Coupang Inc., has announced that he will not attend the National Assembly hearing scheduled for the 17th regarding the Coupang personal information leak.
According to the National Assembly and other sources on the 14th, Chairman Kim submitted a statement of absence to the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee that afternoon. It was reported that Chairman Kim stated, "As the CEO of a global company, I have official business commitments, making it unavoidable for me to attend the hearing."
Previously, the committee had selected Chairman Kim as a witness and requested his attendance at the hearing in connection with the suspicions of personal information leaks at Coupang.
Park Daejun, former CEO of Coupang, and Kang Hanseung, also a former CEO of Coupang, who were selected as witnesses alongside Chairman Kim, have likewise submitted statements explaining their absence.
