Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province recently attended the "2025 Gyeonggi-style Wellness Tourism Activation Performance Sharing Meeting" held at Four Points by Sheraton Suwon, where it shared the operational achievements and future plans of the Yangju City Museum (Jang Ukjin Museum and Min Bokjin Museum), which has been certified as a Gyeonggi-style wellness tourism destination.

This event was hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to review the achievements of this year's wellness tourism activation projects and to strengthen cooperation among cities, counties, and related institutions.
During the performance sharing meeting, presentations on outstanding operational cases were given, focusing on certified tourism destinations. Yangju City Museum represented Yangju, introducing its wellness programs based on art.
The museum shared the results of its immersive and meditation-based programs utilizing the works of artists Jang Ukjin and Min Bokjin, explaining the emotional stability benefits of art appreciation activities and examples of improved visitor satisfaction.
In particular, the museum emphasized that programs combining art appreciation and psychological healing contributed to increased visitor participation. It also announced plans to further enhance the expertise of art-based healing content and strengthen its identity as a wellness tourism destination in the future.
At the event, Gyeonggi Province introduced next year's support plans, including operational consulting for certified facilities, product development in collaboration with online travel agencies (OTAs), support for online and offline promotional activities, and the provision of expert training programs, stating that it will continue to cooperate to enhance the competitiveness of wellness tourism destinations.
Yangju City plans to actively utilize this support to operate museum-centered wellness programs more systematically and to expand its tourism model by integrating local cultural resources.
A Yangju City official stated, "This performance sharing meeting was a meaningful opportunity to share the operational experiences of Yangju City Museum with various institutions in the province and to further define Yangju's direction in wellness tourism," adding, "We will continue to foster wellness tourism based on Yangju's strengths in healing and relaxation through art, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy."
