Export-Import Bank of Korea Donates 1.25 Billion Won to Support Vulnerable Groups

The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on December 14 that it will donate a total of 1.25 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea (also known as the Fruit of Love) and the Korea Organization for Rare Diseases to mark the end of the year.


On December 12, Hwang Giyeon, President of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, met with Hwang Insik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, at the bank's headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and delivered a donation of 1 billion won for the "Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign." The funds provided by the Export-Import Bank of Korea will be used to support healthy daily living for elderly people with disabilities and to establish an integrated care system at more than 50 social welfare facilities nationwide.

On the same day, the Export-Import Bank of Korea Labor Union also delivered 250 million won, including employee donations, to the Korea Organization for Rare Diseases to help alleviate the burden on patients with intractable diseases.


President Hwang stated, "I hope the bank's donation will help improve social welfare facilities," and added, "As a policy financial institution leading the way in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management, the Export-Import Bank of Korea will continue striving to support vulnerable groups in our society."
