Jeonnam Police Agency Ranks First Nationwide in 112 Public Safety Customer Satisfaction for Three Consecutive Years

The Jeollanam-do Provincial Police Agency has reaffirmed its status as the nation's top public safety control tower by ranking first nationwide for three consecutive years in the "112 Emergency Call Public Safety Customer Satisfaction Survey." This achievement is attributed to a rapid, field-oriented response system and continuous system improvements, going beyond simply handling civil complaints.

To strengthen its 112 emergency call response capabilities, the Jeonnam Police Agency invested a total of 2 billion won and completed the advancement of the 112 Public Safety Integrated Situation Room. The agency established a situation command center, a large LED display board, staff rest areas, and a mental health stabilization room to build a more efficient and multi-dimensional situation management system.

In particular, sharing real-time incident updates and broadcasting field footage through the large LED display board has significantly improved the accuracy and speed of command decisions. Enhancements to rest areas for situation room personnel, who often face intense workloads, have also contributed to creating a more stable work environment.

The Jeonnam Police Agency continuously strengthens its response capabilities by operating practical OJT (on-the-job training) programs utilizing 112 call recordings and Voice of Customer (VOC) analysis.

By repeatedly reviewing actual emergency cases, the agency consistently checks the appropriateness of initial responses, the accuracy of field coordination, and the attitude in responding to callers. This has led to evaluations that a practical, field-oriented training culture has been established, moving beyond mere desk-based exercises.

The organization of the 112 Situation Room has also been significantly reinforced. Under the leadership of the head of the 112 Public Safety Integrated Situation Room, senior superintendents and deputy team leaders of superintendent rank have been strategically assigned to each team, creating a tightly structured command system. Furthermore, in emergencies such as violent crimes, disasters, and major traffic accidents, a dual command system is operated to minimize any gaps in decision-making and field response.

Thanks to this systematic approach, a stable, one-stop response system has been established, covering everything from call intake to field dispatch and post-incident management, which is directly linked to the sense of safety felt by Jeonnam residents.

Moh Sangmyo, Commissioner of the Jeonnam Police Agency, stated, "Being ranked first for three consecutive years is the result of the dedication of the 112 personnel who have quietly fulfilled their roles in the field, combined with the trust of our residents. We will continue to advance our equipment, field-oriented training, and command system to remain the most trusted 112 public safety control tower for our residents."
