Providing Real-World Financial Experience Through Participation by LS Securities
Soongsil University announced that it will jointly host the "AI System Trading Challenge" for university students nationwide on December 22, in collaboration with LS Securities, YesStock, The Electronic Times, and ET Edu.

In this competition, participants input their trading ideas into the "Trends WTS" platform provided by LS Securities, and AI automatically generates a system trading logic. The competition evaluates both the profitability and the originality of the ideas.
The Trends WTS platform enables investors with limited coding knowledge to implement their trading ideas using AI technology, and supports backtesting and optimization features to improve profitability.
The competition is open to university students across the country, including those on leave of absence. The preliminary training session will be held at 3 p.m. on December 22, both online and offline.
The preliminary training will be broadcast simultaneously through the YouTube channel "Siznet." Through this session, participants will learn how to open an account, register for the competition, code their ideas, and optimize profitability.
The total prize pool for the competition is 8 million won. Awards will be presented by the CEO of LS Securities, the President of Soongsil University, the CEO of The Electronic Times, and the CEO of ET Edu. In addition, all participants who submit formulas will receive a Starbucks coffee coupon.
Moon Yong, Vice President of Soongsil University and Director of the AI Advanced Industry Talent Bootcamp, said, "Through this competition, we aim to explore the possibilities of integrating financial knowledge with AI technology and to suggest directions for AI utilization across various industries."
Meanwhile, Soongsil University, LS Securities, YesStock, The Electronic Times, and ET Edu have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand AI technology utilization and financial knowledge among university students.
