Understanding and Empathy for Allergic Diseases Through the Eyes of Children
Forty-one Selected Works to Be Displayed for Citizens at Gallery Yuwon from December 12 to 14
Daejeon City will hold an exhibition and award ceremony for the winners of the 3rd Drawing Contest.
This exhibition was held from June to September this year to raise public awareness of allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis and asthma, and to highlight the importance of prevention and management.
The exhibition will take place at Gallery Yuwon in Jung-gu, Daejeon, for three days from December 12 to 14. Forty-one outstanding works, selected from 312 entries submitted by participants from various age groups, including kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school divisions, will be presented to the public.
The artworks creatively express themes such as "Healthy Skin," "A Breathable Daily Life," and "The Importance of Allergy Prevention," enhancing understanding and raising awareness about allergic diseases.
In particular, the award ceremony will be held on December 12, the opening day of the exhibition, with certificates presented to winners in each category, including the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Merit Award, and Encouragement Award. The winning works will be open to the public throughout the exhibition period, and anyone is welcome to visit and view them freely.
Han Jongtak, Director of Sports and Health at Daejeon City, stated, "Since prevention and management are especially important for allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis and asthma, I hope this exhibition will help citizens take interest and put these practices into action in their daily lives. We will continue to carry out various educational and promotional activities to create an allergy-free city in the future."
