Screenings of Her Films and Memorial Flower-Laying Space Provided

The Korean Film Council announced on December 11 that it will operate a memorial space for the late actress Kim Ji-mi, who passed away on December 7, at the Seoul Film Center in Chungmuro.
From 2 p.m. on this day until December 14, a space will be set up in the first-floor lobby for visitors to lay flowers, along with an LED screen displaying images from her life. The screening room will also show films in which she appeared.
Kim Ji-mi made her debut in director Kim Ki-young's "Twilight Train" (1957) and appeared in more than 700 films, becoming a leading figure in the Korean film industry. She won the Best Actress Award at the Panama International Film Festival and the Grand Bell Awards for her roles in "Toji" (1974) and "Gilsotteum" (1985).
The late actress passed away at the age of 85 from hypovolemic shock in Los Angeles, United States, on December 7.
