S-OIL has taken steps to support energy-vulnerable groups in the Ulsan area who are struggling with heating costs during the winter season.
On December 9, S-OIL announced that it had donated 80 million KRW in heating oil support funds to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea on December 8.
This donation will be used to support heating costs for energy-vulnerable groups such as grandparent-grandchild families, elderly people living alone, people with disabilities, and multicultural families, as well as seven social welfare facilities in Ulsan, all of whom have been selected through the Ulsan Social Welfare Council.
This initiative was organized to help neighbors facing high heating bills spend a warmer winter.
Park Sunghoon, Executive Director of S-OIL, who attended the event, said, "With another cold wave expected this year, I hope S-OIL's support for heating costs will help ease the burden on our neighbors in Ulsan who are facing economic difficulties and help them spend a warmer winter."
Park emphasized, "As a company that grows together with the local community, S-OIL will continue to carry out social contribution activities for neighbors in need."
In addition to this winter's heating cost support, S-OIL is continuously carrying out various social contribution activities for those in need in Ulsan, including scholarships for children of partner company employees, support for crime victims, and assistance for vulnerable groups in the Onsan area.
