The campaign, held on December 6, was conducted simultaneously across all cities and counties, fire departments, and related organizations in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. In Changwon, more than 300 participants-including forestry department officials, Changwon Fire Headquarters, Changwon Forestry Cooperative, and wildfire monitors-carried out extensive wildfire prevention publicity activities at Jeongbyeongsan in Uichang-gu, Daeamsan in Seongsan-gu, Wolyeong Square in Masanhappo-gu, Bongam Water Source in Masanhoewon-gu, and the Cheongnyongsa spring area in Jinhae-gu.

In addition, as part of the "Visiting Wildfire Prevention Promotion" program targeting villages adjacent to forests, a total of 65 villages were selected for wildfire prevention activities. The team also visited households using wood-fired boilers and single-person villages, distributing promotional leaflets and wildfire prevention materials such as safety guidelines for wood boiler operation.

Gwak Youngju, Director of the Forest Recreation Division, stated, "Illegal burning in forest-adjacent areas, burning of rice paddies and fields, failure to check the disposal of wood boiler ash, and careless acts such as discarded cigarette butts can all lead to large-scale wildfires. The active interest and cooperation of citizens is more important than anything else."
