Garden Five Life Holds Tree Lighting Ceremony... Free Snow Sledding Park Opens on December 27

Garden Five Life, a leading multi-cultural and shopping complex in Songpa-gu, Seoul, announced on December 5 that it successfully held its winter season tree lighting ceremony.

Garden Five Life Holds Tree Lighting Ceremony... Free Snow Sledding Park Opens on December 27 Chairman Lee Jong-eon of the Management Committee (sixth from the left) and Pastor Han Hong of Saeroun Church (seventh from the left) lighting the lights. Provided by Garden Five Life.

More than 500 people, including customers and representatives from tenant companies, attended the event. Key tenants such as NC Department Store, Hyundai City Mall, Jamsil Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, and Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation participated, along with representatives from Saeroun Church, which is scheduled to move in during the first half of next year.

Prior to the lighting ceremony, the a cappella group Tune Aid and the large choir from Saeroun Church performed a musical show. Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation contributed to the event by providing a coffee truck and hosting a promotional character (SH-5) event, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.

This year’s winter season tree was installed using the fountain to harmonize with the “Songpa-gu 2025 Haha Hoho Snow Sledding Park,” which will operate in the central plaza starting December 27. The central plaza will be transformed into a winter festival space where the tree and the sledding park come together.

Lee Jong-eon, Chairman of the Management Committee, stated, “I hope the tree and the sledding park will bring joy and energy to our customers, local residents, and Songpa-gu as a whole. Garden Five Life will continue striving to grow together with the local community.”

The “Songpa-gu 2025 Haha Hoho Snow Sledding Park,” jointly hosted by Songpa-gu and Garden Five Life, will be open free of charge at the central plaza of Garden Five Life for 30 days from December 27, 2025, to January 25, 2026. The facility is available to children aged three and above, up to elementary school students, accompanied by their guardians.

The sledding park consists of two types of slopes: a 60-meter large slope and a 40-meter small slope for toddlers. Safety personnel, medical staff, and facility managers will be on site at all times to provide a safe experience. The park operates from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with three sessions per day, admitting up to 500 people per session on a first-come, first-served basis.

Given the enthusiastic response to the “Songpa-gu 2025 Haha Hoho Water Park” held at the same location last summer, a high turnout of family visitors is also expected for this winter’s snow sledding park.

Garden Five Life plans to further strengthen its region-based winter cultural content and continuously expand a variety of seasonal programs for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
