The National Land Safety Management Institute received the Excellence Award at the "2025 Land, Infrastructure and Transport Best Practices Competition" held on December 5.

This competition was organized to discover and share outstanding innovation cases among public institutions under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. A total of 11 organizations participated, and the award-winning institutions were selected through a national vote and expert review.
The institute submitted a case titled "Golden Time for Ground Subsidence: We Prevent It!" focusing on strengthening underground safety management.
The institute received high marks for its proactive selection of high-risk areas, data analysis using artificial intelligence (AI), establishment of an on-site response system through the operation of underground safety patrols, and enhancement of private sector utilization by opening up data.
In particular, the institute explained that it was highly evaluated for its contribution to accident prevention and alleviating public anxiety by identifying risk factors in underground spaces at an early stage.
President Kim Ilhwan stated, "We will continue to achieve tangible safety outcomes that the public can truly feel," and added, "We will keep discovering various underground safety projects and expanding innovative cases in the future."
