A Warm "Sleeping Environment" Gift... Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters Donates Heated Mats to Energy-Vulnerable Groups

Donation of 100 Heated Mats Worth 20 Million Won

Lee Sangwook, Head of Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, has gifted a warm "sleeping environment" to neighbors in energy-vulnerable groups.

On December 5, Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters held a "Heated Mat Donation Ceremony for Energy-Vulnerable Groups in Gijang County" at its promotional center in Gijang County, Busan, and provided heated mats to 100 households in marginalized communities near the power plant.

This support program is an annual event organized by Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters to help neighbors in marginalized groups in the surrounding area spend a warm winter.

This year as well, heated mats worth a total of 20 million won will be delivered through the Community Chest of Korea and Gijang County to basic livelihood security recipients and low-income families in five towns and villages of Gijang County.

Lee Sangwook, Head of Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "I hope that the heated mats will provide some help to vulnerable groups in the surrounding areas who are struggling due to rising heating costs, so they can have a warmer winter. Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to carry out support activities that make a real contribution to community welfare."
