Initiating Expansion into North American and European Markets
Namuga announced on the 5th that it has signed a global sales agreement (MOU) with Macnica Holdings (Macnica).
With this MOU, Namuga has established a foothold to secure a global sales network, including North America, Europe, and Japan.
Macnica is Japan's largest technology sales company specializing in semiconductors and electronic components, and is regarded as a global comprehensive semiconductor distributor with annual sales of approximately 10 trillion won. It is considered one of the top five companies worldwide in terms of sales. A significant portion of its revenue comes from North America and Europe, and it has extensive global sales channels as an official distributor for leading global semiconductor companies such as Nvidia, Intel, Sony, and Qualcomm.
The MOU stipulates that the two companies will jointly conduct sales activities targeting global big tech, security, finished vehicle manufacturers, and robotics companies, with Namuga supplying cameras and 3D sensing modules. Macnica will take the lead in global market development, customer acquisition, technical sales, and sales activities. Starting with this MOU, the two companies are also expected to gain momentum in discussing long-term cooperation, including joint discovery of new businesses and equity investment-based collaboration, as well as large-scale supply contracts over the next five years.
Namuga explained that it will directly conduct sales activities for products aimed at global big tech companies, while for security, automotive electronics, and industrial standard products-which account for more than half of the camera and sensor market-it will utilize Macnica's global sales channels to optimize internal sales and technical resources.
Collaboration to strengthen the technological capabilities of its flagship 3D sensing modules has also begun in earnest. Since the '2025 Tech Day' in November, Namuga has continued to work with PMD Technologies (PMD), a German company specializing in 3D sensors, on AI-based image recognition and deep learning processing technology (AIDE solution). As Infineon's specialized partner for 3D image sensors, PMD supplies ToF sensor technology to major global IT and automotive manufacturers. This collaboration focuses on combining Namuga's production and design capabilities with PMD's advanced AI technology.
Lee Dongho, CEO of Namuga, stated, "Securing a sales network is the key to success in entering the global market," adding, "It is highly significant that Namuga is the only camera and 3D sensing module company to have signed a global MOU with Macnica." He continued, "We will use this agreement as a springboard to expand our value chain spectrum and achieve continuous growth."
