The 'Hadan Rest Area' is a space established to protect the rights and improve the working environment of mobile and platform workers, such as delivery riders and substitute drivers. It was established by the Busan Metropolitan Government and is operated by the Support Center for Mobile (Platform) Workers under commission.
The sponsorship funds delivered by Busan Bank will be used as practical operating expenses, including the cost of snacks and the purchase of items for the rest facilities needed to run the rest area.
Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, stated, "We will fulfill our social responsibility as a financial institution so that mobile and platform workers can work in a safer and healthier environment," adding, "We will continue to promote ESG activities that foster mutual growth with local workers from various sectors."
Busan Bank previously supported the 'Dongbaek Workplace Cleaning' public laundry project for workers at the Mieum Industrial Complex in Gangseo-gu in November, and by supporting this rest area, the bank is further strengthening its social contribution model to improve the working conditions of local workers.
