Shinsegae Centum City warmed up the chilly early winter by practicing neighborly love.
On December 3, Shinsegae Centum City held the 'Sharing Love Kimchi Making' delivery ceremony at Haeundae District Office.
The kimchi sharing event, part of the company's efforts for regional coexistence and social contribution, has been held annually since the department store opened in 2009.
The ceremony was attended by Kim Seongsu, the mayor of Haeundae District, officials from the district office, and Shinsegae employees including Store Manager Kwak Youngmin.
A total of 1,004 heads of kimchi, made with ingredients purchased from Bansongkeun Market-known as the 'Kimchi Specialty Market'-were delivered to 250 households, including elderly people living alone. This initiative supported both local merchants and underprivileged residents.
Kwak Youngmin, Store Manager of Shinsegae Centum City, said, "This year, the kimchi sharing event is especially meaningful as it allows us to support the local traditional market and help our neighbors get through the winter."
