On December 5, ChildFund Korea (Chairman Hwang Youngki) announced that it has partnered with the premium kids' stationery brand Big Kid to provide Christmas gifts for migrant-background children in Seoul, ensuring they have a warm year-end season.
To celebrate Christmas, ChildFund Korea delivered 500 advent calendars donated by Big Kid, worth 15 million won, to 500 migrant-background children in Seoul.
An advent calendar is a seasonal calendar where children open one gift each day from December 1 until Christmas Eve. Each compartment contains gifts that children love, such as stationery and small toys.
Through this gift support, ChildFund Korea hopes to bring small joys and happiness to children during the year-end season.
A representative from Big Kid stated, "We wanted to give children a special experience that would fill each day of the year-end season with excitement and joy," adding, "We will continue to support a variety of children’s initiatives, including those for migrant-background children."
Shin Jeongwon, Head of Social Contribution Cooperation Headquarters at ChildFund Korea, said, "This support will be a welcome year-end gift for migrant-background children," and added, "ChildFund Korea will continue to provide various support so that all children can feel warmth and happiness in their daily lives."
