The Samil Future Campus, launched for the first time this year, was established to enhance the practical expertise of public interest corporation practitioners in areas such as basic accounting, understanding of accounting standards for public interest corporations, financial statement preparation, project expense management, and internal controls. In this first cohort, 31 practitioners from 31 organizations participated and received three months of training from experts at the Samil PwC Nonprofit Support Center and the Nonprofit Specialist Team.
Kim Woosung, auditor of the Samil Future Foundation, stated, "I would like to thank the participants for achieving a meaningful outcome with an attendance rate as high as 96% in the first cohort," and added, "We will continue to expand effective education programs to foster the public interest ecosystem."
Jung Mihyang, head of the Samil PwC Nonprofit Support Center and in charge of the training, said, "As this course has become a first step in providing practical help to public interest corporation practitioners, I hope that what you have learned will be applied in the field and spread throughout the industry, contributing to the growth of public interest corporations."
The Samil Future Foundation plans to continue operating the Samil Future Campus to support the expertise and growth of public interest corporation practitioners.
