Upstage Signs Supply Contract with Public Procurement Service for First Generative AI Support in Public Sector Work

Upstage announced on December 4 that it has signed a supply contract with the Public Procurement Service for a public sector generative artificial intelligence (AI) work support service.

Until now, government and public institutions have used separate internet networks, making it difficult to directly utilize generative AI for work. In response, the Public Procurement Service established a generative AI work support service on its Digital Service Mall to enable the safe use of AI on public work networks, and selected Upstage as the first supplier.

Through this contract, Upstage will provide the "Public AI Workspace." The Public AI Workspace is a generative AI-based work support service that integrates Upstage's proprietary large language model (LLM) "Solar" and optical character recognition (OCR)-based document processing AI technology as agents.

Workspace users can handle various tasks such as search, Q&A, information extraction, and summarization simply by uploading documents. The service supports a wide range of formats including Hangul files, Word, and PDF. Upstage stated that anyone can easily utilize the service for work thanks to its intuitive user interface (UI), which requires no additional training.
