The signing ceremony took place the previous afternoon at BC Card headquarters in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul, with Seongsu Oh, Executive Director of BC Card, and Yunho Choi, Executive Director of the AI Agent Promotion Group at LG Uplus, in attendance.

Through this agreement, BC Card will integrate its 'eat.pl' service into the new 'AI Assistant' feature of LG Uplus's ixi-O application, which is scheduled for release next year.

ixi-O is an AI-powered call application by LG Uplus. It offers various functions such as call recording and summarization without a recording announcement, as well as on-device AI-based voice phishing risk detection.

The ixi-O AI Assistant, which LG Uplus plans to release next year, is designed to understand the context of conversations in real time during calls and instantly provide relevant information.

For example, if an LG Uplus customer asks the AI Assistant for information about popular restaurants, the eat.pl service will utilize payment data from 550,000 affiliated merchants nationwide, providing information by gender, age group, and peak hours.

eat.pl delivers data-driven results that customers can experience in real time. It is establishing itself as a core data service for major AI platforms, having been adopted by global AI service Liner and Korean AI service RYUTEN, among others.

LG Uplus is reportedly planning to further expand domestic and international partnerships to enhance ixi-O's AI search and recommendation features, starting with the integration of eat.pl.

Seongsu Oh, Executive Director of BC Card, stated, "It is very meaningful that we can provide customers with a more sophisticated recommendation experience based on the merchant data held by the eat.pl service. We will continue to actively contribute to service advancement and the creation of new value through extensive business cooperation between the two companies."

Yunho Choi, Executive Director of LG Uplus, commented, "BC Card's merchant data is a key element in providing personalized information tailored to customer inquiries when combined with our AI agent. We will deliver highly reliable information to ixi-O customers and continue to develop our AI services by expanding connections with various agents in the future."
