Pro Bono Premieres December 6 at 9:10 p.m.
Jung Kyungho Responds to Marriage Question with "Pointless Talk," Prompting Laughter
Actor Jung Kyungho, who has been in a relationship with singer Sooyoung for 14 years, appeared flustered when asked about marriage.
On the afternoon of December 2, the production presentation for the tvN weekend drama "Pro Bono" (written by Moon Yooseok, directed by Kim Sungyoon) was held online. The event was attended by Jung Kyungho, So Juyun, Lee Yooyoung, Yoon Namu, Seo Hyewon, Kang Hyungseok, and director Kim Sungyoon.
"Pro Bono," which will premiere at 9:10 p.m. on December 6, is a human legal drama that follows the comedic struggles of a career-obsessed, materialistic judge who unintentionally becomes a public interest lawyer and finds himself stuck in a back room of a major law firm, assigned to a public interest team with zero revenue. Jung Kyungho plays the role of Kang Dawit, a former judge turned public interest lawyer obsessed with success.
Park Kyunglim, who served as MC for the event, asked Jung Kyungho, "Isn't Kang Dawit the issue-maker in the drama? Don't you have anything to announce?" When Jung Kyungho answered, "No," director Kim Sungyoon pressed further, saying, "At least give us a date."
Since Jung Kyungho has been in a long-term relationship with Sooyoung, the question was interpreted as asking about their wedding date. Jung Kyungho responded with a laugh, waving his hand and saying, "What date? Don't say such pointless things."
Those around him then suggested, "At least tell us the premiere date," and "Or your birthday." Jung Kyungho wrapped up the exchange with humor, saying, "The premiere is December 6. My birthday is August 31."
