Yangsan City Shares This Year's Achievements at Management Meeting

Four-Character Idiom for 2026: "Gongjaebulsa (Success Lies in Perseverance)"
Thorough Preparation Urged for "Provincial Residents' Coexistence Talk" and "ON Alley Warmth Festival"

Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province calmly reflected on the major achievements of its municipal administration over the past year and outlined the next steps for the city's future development.

On December 1, Yangsan City held a management meeting chaired by the mayor, during which the 2025 municipal performance report was presented. The meeting also served as a platform to share the city’s achievements over the year, including external evaluations, awards, and major projects.

At the meeting, Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "Our city’s population has surpassed 370,000 and has now entered the era of 380,000 residents." He emphasized, "I urge everyone to ensure the thorough implementation of key projects so that Yangsan can stably advance toward becoming a self-sufficient city of 400,000 people-a city where citizens want to stay."

Mayor Na also requested thorough preparation for the upcoming "2025 Provincial Residents' Coexistence Talk," scheduled for December 4, where the provincial governor will be invited to discuss local issues with citizens, as well as for the "ON (ON) Alley Warmth Festival," which will be held on December 6 in Eastern Yangsan and December 13 in Western Yangsan to revitalize stagnant local commercial districts.

Regarding urban regeneration, which is closely linked to improving citizens' quality of life, Mayor Na stressed the importance of post-project management and securing sustainability. He instructed, "Since it is necessary to establish a sophisticated operation and management roadmap, including maintenance systems and revenue models, please prepare a sustainable roadmap."

Yangsan City has selected "Gongjaebulsa (功在不舍)" as its four-character idiom for the New Year 2026. Gongjaebulsa means "Success lies in not giving up halfway." As the final year of the 8th popularly elected administration approaches, the city hopes to embody the spirit of Gongjaebulsa by ensuring uninterrupted municipal administration and delivering tangible results throughout the year.

Concluding the meeting, Mayor Na remarked, "The year 2026 will be Byeongo (Year of the Red Horse). With the powerful energy of the Red Horse and the vibrant sunrise of Cheonseongsan Mountain, I ask everyone to do their utmost to deliver better municipal administration that citizens can truly feel, so that the coming year will be one of great progress and achievement."
